Case Study: Heasley Dental
From outdated, bleak and tired to modern, light and aesthetically stunning.
This Toowoomba dental surgery was still featuring décor from over 30 years ago before undergoing a major renovation. With creams and browns, red vinyl seats and sunflower curtains straight out of the 70s the interior style of this dental practice was in desperate need of a revamp to reflect its modern, up-to-date brand.
The old carpet was replaced with a light timber floorboard, with Navurban Toorak timber veneer throughout to match. This product is absolutely stunning and very popular at the moment. Fresh whites throughout complement the timber veneers and give the surgery a clean yet warm and inviting feel.
They say first impressions count and that will certainly be the case with this surgery. When you enter the first thing you see is the stunning waiting area and reception counter. The waiting room incorporates bench seating, made from Navurban Toorak timber veneer with high performance vinyl cushions in colours ‘Buzz Saw’ and ‘Tex Rink.’ Our team also created a custom-made coffee table to match and fit the space perfectly. Behind the bench seating is a batten wall, also featuring Navurban Toorak timber veneer.
The reception counter is absolutely spectacular, constructed with Quantum Quartz ‘Luna White’ 20mm stone, square edge, with a waterfall front. This is paired with a co-joined display counter made in Navurban Toorak timber veneer. The area is highlighted with beautiful hanging pendant lighting.
Behind the reception counter is another cabinet constructed with Navurban Toorak timber veneer and featuring black shadow lines around the doors. The various textures in this space add a sophisticated, detailed finish.
Four treatment rooms, a staff room and a sterilising room were all fitted with Navurban Toorak timber veneer on the lower cupboards and Snowdrift White Gloss laminate on the overhead cupboards. All rooms were designed to be completely seamless. They have no handles, instead featuring Blum tip-on mechanisms to the doors and Blum tandombox tip-on drawers, all with soft close feature. Quantum Quartz “Luna White” 20mm Stone benchtops with square edge finish the space. All surgeries were fitted with white Zenolite splashbacks, while these crisp tones were carried through to the sterilising room, which features white and grey Zenolite splashbacks.
To take advantage of the large hallways we designed floor to ceiling cupboards hidden away behind Snowdrift White Gloss laminate doors with Blum tip-on mechanisms, so there was no need for any handles.
A simple, yet beautiful (and very practical) wash basin was also installed in the common area and finished with a large frameless mirror and white Zenolite splashback.
Maintaining the character of this building was important, and we achieved this through use of some gorgeous stained glass windows and VJ wall panelling to add detail. The whites and timbers produce a warm and inviting space yet still offer a clean and professional appearance. Now, this completely refreshed Toowoomba dental practice is almost unrecognisable.
